Okay peoplez, since I'm not gonna be here for about a week I may not get to post so I'll do chapter 4 of my Fanfic now. Enjoy! Disclaimer: Do I really have to say it again?
Elizabeth seemed to be trying to overcome some kind of eternal struggle, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what it was. Maybe she was wondering whether or not she could trust us? Maybe she wanted to tell us something? Like where the Itex where her friends were was located. That would be helpful. Fang, Iggy and I were still unsure. “Uh, Elizabeth? Is the Itex where your friends are somewhere here? In Arizona?” she looked at me like, well duh, stupid, where did you think it was? She might have been thinking the same thing, but I guess I’ll never know, cause just then Fang came to a halt and so did Iggy.
“Max, I think I see Itex about 6 miles from here,” Fang said.
“Okay, everyone here’s the plan. I’ll fly ahead and check to make sure the coast is clear. Then if it’s safe I’ll fly back and let you know. Elizabeth, is there anywhere in particular you think we should look for your friends?” she nodded.
“I remember when they weren’t testing on us they would usually take us to the field where the Erasers were trained. We should check there first.” Our plan was poorly thought out and misguided. What a surprise.
I nodded, and then put my oh-so-special power to good use. I flew towards the School at about 250 miles an hour. I flew behind some trees just out of reach of a very high fence. Knowing these lab geeks, it was probably an electrical fence. I flew just out of sight for a few seconds, and then flew a little closer to the Eraser training field. You heard me; I flew towards the place the homicidal werewolves with wings were kept. But that’s just me. Not surprisingly, there were six cages in the middle of the field with Erasers surrounding them from all sides. From where I was it looked as if there were a bunch of kids in the cages.
I flew back to the others as fast as I could go, which was pretty fast. Elizabeth looked shocked, then her face dipped into a sour expression. Was it my fault she didn’t know I could go so fast? No. She never asked. Then her face turned into one of those I-know-something-you-don’t-know expressions that I had gotten from Iggy right before my Rebocks exploded. I knew this one was going to come back and bite me in the butt.
The others followed me as I sped towards the School. When we got to the field, the Erasers were gone but the cages were there. We flew above the fence and landed o the other side. Elizabeth ran to the cages. Her face lit up and I knew we had found what we had been looking for. We ran to help her unlock the cages. Iggy used the lock picking kit that I never seemed to be able to properly dispose of. When all six kids had been set free, there was much squealing and happy-dancing. We turned to leave, eager to be rid of this jail cell. I turned around. Then I thought, Son of a Gun. Well, actually, I thought something a lot worse than son of a gun, but just in case your parents want something more ‘age appropriate’, we’ll leave it as son of a gun.
