Maximum Ride Fanfic Chp.3

Yay!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday was my last day of school!!! We were all crying but now I am happier cuz it's finally time for SUMMER VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In honor of this happy time, I will publish Chapter 3 of my Fanfic. Yay Chapter 3! Disclaimer: Yeah, yeah, I know, I don't own Maximum Ride, blah, blah, blah. On with the Chapter!                                   “Huh?” the flock cried in unison.

“Uh, Max, can I talk to you?” Fang steered me a little away from Elizabeth. “Are you insane? Have you completely lost your mind? How can you say that? You can’t expect us to just jump at the first chance to help some strange kid with wings do something that could get us all killed... or worse.”

I glared at him. “Um, earth to Fang? We’re a bunch of strange kids with wings. And we’ve been in worse situations. For the love of humanity, we’ve survived a category 4 hurricane! And besides, when she told me that, she kinda reminded me of… me. I mean, look. She would do anything for her flock. She volunteered to distract a bunch of mad scientists while her friends broke free. She can’t even stay angry with the kid that got her friends stuck back at the School. Face it, Fang. We’ve got to help her. I will never be able to forgive myself if I leave this girl here. And she’s only Nudge’s age, maybe a little older. She’ll die out here, and you know it.” Man, talk about persuasive.

Fang ran his fingers through his hair. “Alright, you got me, we’ll help. But maybe Nudge, Gazzy and Angel should stay here. They could get hurt if they come along.” I nodded.

We walked back to the others. “So, what’s the plan?” Iggy asked.

“You, me, Fang and Elizabeth will go rescue Elizabeth’s friends. Nudge, Gazzy and Angel will stay here.” There was much groaning from the little kids. Hope radiated off of Elizabeth’s face. Iggy looked relatively happy, considering the last time we had gone to rescue someone from the School he had had to stay behind.       

Now it was getting late and I figured it was time to introduce Elizabeth to Mom and Ella. Ooooooooo, what fun. Hey Mom, got another bird-kid mouth for you to feed! Yeah, I know the six of us are driving you into bankruptcy already, but I don’t pay the bills! I couldn’t wait.

“Hey kids,” my Mom greeted us as we walked through the front door. “Who’s your friend?”

“Uh, Mom? This is Elizabeth. She’s kinda… one of us.” Of course, Mom didn’t even blink. I don’t like to brag but… SHE’S THE BEST!

“Oh, okay. Hello, Elizabeth. I’m Dr. Martinez and this is my daughter, Ella. You can bunk with the girls in Ella’s room for the night, all right?”

“Sure, Dr. Martinez. But it’s fine if you wanted me to sleep outside or something, really. I’m sorta used to it and I wouldn’t want to trouble you”.

Mom looked ready to faint. “Of course not! It’s absolutely no trouble at all! Now you are going to sleep inside where it is nice and warm!” How often do you get someone forcing you to sleep inside? When you’re a bird-kid, almost never. But that’s my mom for ya.

“Oh, and Mom? Me, Fang, Iggy and Elizabeth are going to save Elizabeth’s friends from the School tomorrow, so we might not be back for a while.” Watch Mom’s response:

“Oh, are you sure? I was thinking of going shopping with you girls tomorrow, but if it’s for the sake of human kind, I guess it can wait. You’ll need food, though.” Does she rock or does she rock? Correct answer: She ROCKS!
