Twilight Fanfic Chap.2

now it's time for chapter 2!

I woke quickly and got dressed as fast as I could. I couldn’t stop thinking about my dream. I wanted to get to Nikki and Bryanna as fast as I could so I could tell them about it. I wolfed down some pancakes and said to my parents “Mom, Dad, I’m biking over to Nikki’s. I’ll be back later, okay?” I figured it was fine, since I biked over to Nikki’s house all the time.

Then my parents exchanged the “look”. “Uh, CJ? Why don’t we drive you to Nikki’s instead?” I raised my eyebrows.

“Because it’s not raining yet and biking rather than driving helps the environment?” Okay, the next person to call me a tree-hugger gets thrown out the window!

Mom shook her head “no”. So I got in the car and they drove me to Nikki’s. Even stranger, instead of letting me out of the car on my own, they walked to the front door with me. This wouldn’t have bothered me, except they were so jumpy and excited. We walked in, and I saw Nikki’s dad sitting with Bryanna’s mom and grandma in the living room. Nikki and Bryanna were sitting a few feet away, looks of suspicion on their faces.

“What’s this about?” I asked cautiously. Our parents looked at one another before someone spoke.

“Well…” Mom began. “Have you heard of the celebration that’s going to happen in Forks, Washington?”

“Twilight Night? Yeah, we’ve heard of it,” I said.

“Well, do you remember your Uncle Billy?” Uncle Billy was my dad’s friend from when he was a kid. He had a couple of daughters and one son. They weren’t blood relatives, but he and Dad were so close I called him ‘Uncle’. I nodded my head. “Well, Uncle Billy lives in a town right next to Forks, so he was able to get us all tickets to Twilight Night at half the price.”

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Bryanna, Nikki and I screamed at the top of our lungs.

“Are you serious?!” Bryanna shrieked.

“Twilight Night is the biggest Twilight event of the year!” Nikki yelled.

I looked up at the ceiling and screamed “God Bless Uncle Billy!”

This continued for another 5 minutes or so. Then when we were relatively calm, Bryanna and I had to go home to pack our bags. My brothers were going to stay with my grandparents for the week.

We found out we were going to Forks via train. I hadn’t been on a train in years, so it was pretty new to me.

There were six seats to a section. Our parents sat in one section while Bryanna, Nikki and I got a section to our selves. Sweet. Simultaneously, we pulled out our copies of Breaking Dawn. The trip was going to be about 3 days. I wasn’t sure how we would entertain ourselves on a train for 3 days, but with 3 twelve year olds high on caffeine and Twilight obsession, anything was possible!

We had gotten on the train a few minutes early, so we had to wait for about 10 minutes for the other passengers to arrive.

I was entirely absorbed in Breaking Dawn, so I was only vaguely aware of 3 kids walking up to us. Then one of them spoke. “Hey, is it okay if my friends and I sit here? It’s full everywhere else.” I looked up at him, and my jaw dropped at the exact same moment when he looked down at me. His eyes widened to the point where I was sure they would pop out of his sockets and roll around on the floor. We leaned closer to each other in awe. Only a single word escaped my lips.

“Onyx.”

eh, i'm not in love with the ending, but it works. adios! (sorry about the 'ciao' and the 'adios', just thought i would mix it up a bit :D)
